Josef Koudelka left Prague in 1970. To this date, he photographed the invasion of Czechoslovakia by the Soviet and produced a work on the Gypsies. Exiled, lonely,he crosses the world, meeting people with an exceptional proximity to their lives,
their sadness, their sorrows, their joys. He displayed a zest to see the unusual. His compositions always have a great accuracy and his images are out of time, they do not give any mark. No other certainty. With only the evidence of the intensity of the gaze, charged with emotion, Koudelka addresses the uniqueness of the place, objects and people. His work certifies that he is a photographer with a personality and a rare power.
