The Dutch artist Jan Dibbets (° 1941) is one of the most influential artists who was the European bridge-builder with conceptual art in America at the end of the 1960s.
His early work with grass, neon and later his famous 'perspective corrections' led to conceptual questions about how we look at the world.
Jan Dibbets uses photography that he manipulates and misleads as a medium to make art in which the aesthetic enters into dialogue with mathematics, science and later with monochrome painting.
